AutoCAD files import in 3d Max

One solution is to start work from AutoCAD to create a floor plan or building space which is then inserted into the 3D's Max. This article will try to review the manner and terms of import AutoCAD files into 3D's Max.
Initial steps to consider before entering DWG file (AutoCAD) into 3D's Max is as follows:
If the DWG drawings that will be imported in 3D's Max form a complex image, the simplified picture that is required as a 'pattern' of making three-dimensional shape, by deleting other images that are not needed. This is because the more the number of lines, hatch, layer and so on, will slow the current process modeling in 3D's Max.
After deleting pictures that are not necessary, then remove all the hatch is not needed, remove the existing dimensions and text. After that, explode all the objects and make one layer only, unless you want the mapping based on the layer. Then save with another name, such as "plan lobby 3D.dwg"

In 3D's Max, open the "file - import", then the existing window, select the location of the desired file (eg "plan lobby 3D.dwg). Usually after being at the location of the file, the file is not visible. This is because the default import files in 3DS is to 3d studio mesh files with extension .3 ds instead of AutoCAD files with extension. DWG. For that to change once the "File type" it into "Legacy AutoCAD (*. DWG)"

Having changed its file type in question then select the file and click open. Next will exit the dialog box like this:

Select "Merge objects with current scene" and click ok. Last dialog box will pop up again like this:

In the group of "Geometry Options", turn off the selection to "weld" and "Cap closed entities", the rest leave it as is and click ok.
